Statement of Intent In these post-Space Jam 2 days, when Bugs, Daffy, Porky and the rest of the gang are too often reduced to nothing but t-shirt designs, it’s worthwhile remembering (and for some, discovering) that those 70+yo cartoons are still funny as hell. No qualifiers needed, not funny “for the time”. Fun-Nee. At its heart, this blog is intended to be a running commentary of my thoughts on the original Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons in something close to release order (there’s conflicting info around on what came out exactly when). It is my intention to give you as much historical context as possible. Having said that, you shouldn’t treat this blog like any kind of authoritative thing. I won’t stand for that. But I’ll provide links to much more substantial material as we go. Statement of Tents Tents are nice. Those L-shaped ones can collapse in unexpected ways when the weather gets rough, though. So be careful out there.
